Bromyard Bowmen Archery Club
Archery truly is a sport for all and with members ranging from 8 to 80, Bromyard Bowmen is pleased to offer men, women and children the opportunity to enjoy this traditional sport, including disabled archers who shoot on equal terms with the able-bodied.
We are affiliated to Archery GB and follow recognised procedures and disciplines. Any coaching required is carried out by qualified coaches.

Warm days, fresh air, an afternoon on the line…
Club Facilities
We shoot at The Clive Richards Sports Ground on the Tenbury Road out of Bromyard. See below for a location map.
We are very lucky to be one of the few archery clubs in the country to have our own purpose-built shooting hall. This is where we shoot in the winter months (when the distances shot are shorter) or when the weather is poor. In the summer months (May to September) we shoot outside on the rugby pitch.
Club sessions take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6.30 pm – 9 pm, and Sunday afternoons from 2.00 pm.
Location
The Clive Richards Sports Ground, Bromyard Sports Foundation, can be found on the Tenbury Road out of Bromyard. Sharing the site with Bromyard Rugby Club and Bromyard Bowls Club, our Clubhouse sits slightly behind the Rugby Clubhouse.
Postcode HR7 4LP – your SatNav might try to take you 250m past the sports ground to a turning on the left (Wicton Lane) so please keep a look out for the Rugby posts on your right as you are coming out of Bromyard on the B4214.

Archery and Bow Styles
The predominant form of archery practised is target archery where a set number of arrows are shot at targets over distances of up to 100 yards for men and 80 yards for women. Juniors have their own shorter distances, depending on age. More information on the type of rounds shot can be found here.
Most bow styles are catered for with members shooting Olympic-style Recurve, Compound, Longbow and Barebow. You can see more on this topic here.
