ARCHERY CLASSIFICATIONS

GETTING CLASSIFIED – SENIORS
As you progress on your archery journey, one way of measuring your progress is through Classification. Different awards are available for Indoor and Outdoor shooting. Indoor classifications range from A – H (A being the highest). Outdoor classifications range from 3rd-, 2nd-, and 1st Class, through to Bowmen, Master Bowmen and Grand Master Bowmen.
Outdoor Classifications
To gain grades 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class or Bowmen (BM) a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at a meeting organised by Archery GB or a body affiliated to Archery GB or at an associated club target day.
To gain the awards of Master Bowmen (MB) or Grand Master Bowmen (GMB), a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at events organised by WA, WA Members, or Archery GB, or at a UK Record Status meeting.
Indoor Classifications
To gain grades A, B, C, D, E, F, G or H, a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at a meeting organised by Archery GB or a body affiliated to Archery GB or at an associated club target day.

Outdoor Classifications
To gain grades 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class or Junior Bowmen (J Bmn) a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at a meeting organised by Archery GB or a body affiliated to Archery GB or at an associated club target day.
To gain the award of Junior Master Bowmen (JMB) a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at events organised by WA, WA Members, or Archery GB, or at a UK Record Status meeting.
Indoor Classifications
To gain grades A, B, C, D, E, F, G or H, a member must shoot, under Archery GB Rules of Shooting, three rounds of, or better than, the qualifying scores at a meeting organised by Archery GB or a body affiliated to Archery GB or at an associated club target day.
